Flower Essences were developed in the 1930's by Dr. Edward Bach, a medical doctor who was also trained in homeopathic medicine. Dr. Bach saw the intimate connection between a persons physical health, and their emotional health. The essences are infusions created from individual flowers and pure water then placed in an alcohol carrier to preserve them. Each individual essence has a positive effect on a specific emotional state. Most people benefit from a combination of 3-5 essences blended together.
Dr. Bach's successes have inspired others to further the therapy by testing and developing remedies from other plants around the world.
